Instagram Story Downloader

1. 1

Find the account's exact @handle in Instagram. Stories are looked up by the current username, so a handle the account no longer uses returns nothing.

2. 2

Type it into the Instagram Username field above, without the @, and press Download Stories.

3. 3

Wait for the player to open. It plays the stories the account posted in the last 24 hours, one after another.

4. 4

While the story you want is on screen, press the Download button under the player. A video is saved as an MP4 and a photo as a JPG.

• A video story arrives as an MP4 file.

• A photo story arrives as a JPG image.

• Each story is saved one at a time. Play to the story you want and press Download, then move on to the next.

• Stories the account has saved to Highlights stay available after 24 hours. Open them in the Instagram highlight viewer.

• Private accounts show their stories to approved followers only.

• The account has not posted a story in the last 24 hours, so there is nothing live to save.

• The story went up just now. Results are kept for up to about an hour, so a brand-new story can take a little while to appear. Search again later.

• The username is wrong or has changed. Check the account's current @handle, including dots and underscores.

• The service is busy. Wait a few minutes before you search again.

A story disappears 24 hours after it is posted, and Instagram gives you no way to keep someone else's. The Story Downloader looks up the stories a public account has live right now and lets you save each one: videos as MP4 files, photos as JPG images. You search by username, so there is no link to find, no app to install and no Instagram login.
